Pebuu Africa, a tech company known for its work in field management and financial inclusion, has expanded into three new West African markets including; Nigeria, Ghana, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The strategic move represents a major step in the company’s broader mission to improve access to financial services across the continent.

The company, which already operates in Uganda and the U.S., plans to use its existing tools and systems to support banking networks, merchants, and communities that have historically had limited access to formal finance.

In Uganda, Pebuu manages more than 30,000 bank agents and merchants’ networks, collectively serving 18 million customers in 2024.

In Nigeria and Ghana, where digital finance is growing fast, millions still remain outside the formal banking system, especially in rural areas according to a statement by Pebuu.

The situation is even more complex in the DRC, where conflict, poor infrastructure, and language barriers have made it harder to reach people with essential services.

John Paul Ssemyalo, the CEO of Pebuu Africa, said this expansion isn’t just about growth but rather making a difference.

“We are passionate about building accessible systems that empower local communities and accelerate economic inclusion through technology despite the challenges within these markets,” he said in a statement to New Vision.
