Ugandan coffee processors, traders and exporters have joined over coffee stakeholders from 80 countries in the coffee value chain at the George Brown Convention Centre in Texas to learn about the different specialty coffees and how they can be positioned for various markets.

In February 2025, Uganda exported 555,756 bags of coffee, generating $167.78m for the country, according to the Ministry of Agriculture’s Coffee Department.

This was an increase of 27.93% in quantity and 103.25% in value compared to February 2024.  The Ministry adds that the increased exports were a result of high international prices.
