A Pass (real name Alexander Bagonza), one of Uganda’s most versatile artistes, is set to hold his maiden concert on January 31, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Themed “A Pass Live in Concert,” this event will mark a milestone of a decade since he started singing professionally.
He promised to showcase “an unprecedented style with a fully live band and a touch of international expertise.”
At a press conference held at the Kampala Serena Hotel, A Pass shared his excitement and commitment to delivering a memorable experience for his fans.
“We started rehearsals in November, continued in December, and we're still rehearsing in January. That already shows you that I’ll give everything on stage,” said A Pass.
To ensure a world-class production, Apass has hired a sound engineer from abroad.
“When people come to experience a concert, you have to give them their money’s worth. I’m going to be there to deliver something beautiful, and my fans are going to enjoy this show because I intend to give everything on that stage,” he added.
The press conference was graced by fellow artistes and friends, including Elijah Kitaka, Beenie Gunter, Bruno K, Ruyonga, and dancer Ritah Dancehall, all of whom showed up in support of A Pass. Their presence emphasized the respect and camaraderie he commands within the industry.
Over the years, he has delivered hit songs such as Tuli Kubigere, Didadada, Gamululu, Memories, Chupa ku Chupa, Guliwa, Mariana and Wuuyo. His ability to connect deeply with his audience has earned him a devoted fanbase eager to witness this historic event.
Raymond Kakuru, the Events and Brands Officer at I&M Bank, shared the bank’s excitement about partnering with the event.
“As a bank, we are happy to be the bank partners for the A Pass Live in Concert event. It aligns with our vision of providing customers with enriching experiences, as well as connecting with them outside the banking hall,” he noted.
