“Mpomerwa akantu kebayita waragi (I enjoy drinking Waragi),” admitted actress and film producer Nana Kagga during an interview on Salon Talk, a show that airs on Urban TV every Sunday from 8:15pm.
This followed probing questions posed by show presenter Sovaria Hughes.
Hughes wanted to know what transpired at the Uganda Film Festival gala in 2022 when Kagga was called to receive an award for the Best Actress in a Feature Film.
During the event, Kagga was seen staggering to the podium and while there, she made some incomprehensible statements.
Many at the gala put it down to her being tipsy.
Like many bold people manage to get away with anything, so did Kagga.
She is an actress, so she role-played during the interview.
“That was a once-in-a-lifetime performance only,” Kagga said.
When probed further, she, however, admitted that she was tipsy.
Kagga went deep into the details of her liquor heights that day, some of which were due to the fact that there were free drinks, and that she had been given a special attendant to serve her by the bar where she stood to quench her thirst for the drink.
Kagga was interviewed alongside the ever-quiet film director Loukman Ali, who was quite animated and talkative as well as Allie Mutaka.
