Filmmakers recognised at Uganda Film Festival

Established in 2013, UFF aims to promote the growth of the local film industry by showcasing Ugandan films and providing a platform for filmmakers to network and gain international recognition.

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) held the annual Uganda Film Festival (UFF)  at the Uganda Institute of Information and Communications Technology in Nakawa, Kampala on June 7, 2024.

Established in 2013, UFF aims to promote the growth of the local film industry by showcasing Ugandan films and providing a platform for filmmakers to network and gain international recognition.

The awards not only acknowledge established filmmakers, but also support emerging talent through its student film category.

Overall, UFF  has  encouraged filmmakers to produce high-quality content and promote the rich cultural heritage of Uganda on a global scale and improve the Uganda film industry.

Filmmakers showed up in glamorous on the red carpet to showcase their talent in fashion.

 

The awards ceremony was  honoured by big names like First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Kadaga who gave out the award for Best Feature Film (Makula).
