Singer Sheebah Karungi has marked five years since she entered her luxury mansion in Munyonyo, a posh area in Kampala, with a house party.
The celebration, titled Karaoke Paka Mu Goloofa, which translates to "Karaoke up to the top floor," featured a lively karaoke session, where guests, including friends, family, and fellow musicians such as Roden Y Kabako, Lydia Jazmine, Recho Rey, Kapa Cat, Carol Nantongo joined Sheebah in singing some of her popular tracks.
In 2019, Sheebah unveiled her fully furnished home in Munyonyo. It was a milestone worth celebrating, given her messy background and the hustle she went through, from grass to grace.
Sheebah, apparently a Senior Two dropout, with the help of Jeff Kiwa, her former mentor and manager, managed to use her earnings sparingly and saved money to acquire her dream home.
Dubbed ‘Queen Dom,’ you must have seen photos of her beautiful home because she often flaunts it. Well, it cost her a fortune!

The Queen Karma, who is fond of narrating how she was raised by a single mum in Kawempe ghetto, reveals that her humble background inspired her to work harder to own such a house.
She said during her childhood, she was hesitant to take her friends to her home because of the fear of what they would say about her.
In an interview on Tuesday, June 25, Sheebah expressed her excitement about having achieved most of her dreams. She encouraged rising artistes to be hardworking, consistent, and focused on their dreams, assuring them that they will one day celebrate their success just as she is doing now.
She went on to describe the materials she used in her house and how the house is styled.
Reflecting on her journey, Sheebah shared that she once never expected to achieve her dreams, coming from the ghettos of Kawempe. She was also once a dancer with the Obsessions.
“I am sure my children will be proud to have such a home and will not fear bringing their friends here like I used to fear bringing my friends home when I was a child. I built myself a five-bedroom house here in Munyonyo near Speke Resort Hotel, and the project cost me over sh800m. At the age of 32, I had saved up enough money, and when I spotted a 14-decimal piece of land in Munyonyo, I seized the opportunity and bought it at a total cost of sh250m, which I paid in three phases. After acquiring the land, I took time to view several plans before finally settling on the one I liked. I worked day and night, moving from bar to bar to earn enough money to ensure my dream house project didn’t fail," Sheebah said.
She revealed that the house has 15 CCTV cameras in addition to other amenities.
"Each bedroom has a jacuzzi bathroom from Tokyo and Italy. My floor has a Polyacrylate terrazzo finish decorated with numbers from France, adding to the beauty I wanted. My sitting room features leather interiors, with most of the chairs were imported from America, Italy, and China. I used crystal chandelier dome light ceiling lights to enhance the look of my house. I love good lighting with cute designs. All five bedrooms have inbuilt wardrobes measured to balance the room's space," Sheebah said.
She went on to reveal her love for working out, which made her build a gym in her house.
"I have a gym next to my bedroom because I work out every day before and after sleeping. I also have a library in the house filled with old music equipment, and I keep all kinds of Ugandan music labelled with the artiste's names. I update it every weekend. My U-shaped kitchen has cabinets and appliances along three walls, creating an efficient and organised cooking space. I have enough space in the sitting room for my parties, and my soundproof walls ensure that the noise does not affect the neighbours, which is why all my parties are indoors. The outdoor space can host up to 5,000 people," the Yolo singer said.
She noted that she has large jacuzzis in all her bedrooms and a private swimming pool on top of the house, close to her bedroom.
"My bedroom is next to a room where my house helps wash and iron my clothes. I decided to design the whole of the house with art pieces of my painted face. My pictures from different events are all put around and one giant Sheebah statue in the siting room, which represents the ownership of my home," Sheebah said.
She thanked God for enabling her achieve the feat .
"Five years of thankfulness for my cherished home, a dream turned into reality. Grateful to God for His abundant blessings. In one of my songs, I sang Karaoke Paka Mu Goloofa, which translates to 'Karaoke to my mansion.' It depicts how my hard work enabled me to achieve one of my biggest dreams – a beautiful mansion. By far, it is one of my most prized possessions," Sheebah added.
