On December 17, Africa Enjera Festival organised a multicultural event aimed at strengthening African culture values, food and talents at Jahazi Pier, Munyonyo.
Peope from various countries such as Ethiopia, the DR Congo, Somali and Sudan gathered to sample different types of food, particularly Ethiopia's injera, a sour fermented pancake-like flatbread with a slightly spongy texture, traditionally made of teff flour.
Many African cultures exhibited their different types of bread and the accompanying soups.
This was the first edition of the festival in Uganda.
"The event will be done every year and we shall be promoting African culture and dance," said the marketing manager, Ignatious Mpora.
