The 120th-anniversary celebration of Namilyango College, which took place at the school in Mukono district, did not end without surprises.

The function’s most unexpected aspect was the flamboyant presence and dynamic participation (in the celebration) of the students of Mount St Mary’s College Namagunga.

When asked about the girls’ active participation, the headteacher of Namilyango College, Constantine Mpuuga, said both schools had gone through similar challenges during the Covid-19 lockdown, which is why they considered it right and fitting to involve Namagunga in the celebration.

Well, the calculation was a proper one and evidently, the Namagunga girls added colour to the celebration.

They captured the attention of the guests and also hooked them deeply into the function, from beginning to end.

They animated the thanksgiving mass jointly with the Namilyango boys.

The combined mass choir of the Namagunga girls and the Namilyango boys did not only unleash a great vocal output but also created a spectacular spectacle, which made the celebration even more memorable.
