Musician Kalifah Aganaga has announced that he will be holding a concert this year after a seven-year haitus.

He said he had planned to hold a concert in 2020, but COVID-19 hit the country, disrupting the entertainment business.

The Oyitangayo singer, who was born Sadat Mukiibi, noted that his fans had been asking him for a concert, and now the time has come for it.

This time, he is going for a bigger venue (Wankulukuku Stadium in Kampala), which he said represents the kind of area he grew up from.

He has named the concert The Best of Kalifah AgaNaga, saying revellers should go expecting nothing, but the very best from him.

While addressing journalists at the same venue on Wednesday June 19, Aganaga said it's going to be more of a celebration for the ghetto youth.

He also responded to those that keep asking him why he didn’t slap fellow musician Fik Gaza who allegedly slapped him at the beginning of this June.

Aganaga said his biggest weapon is music.

"I am a master in music and so fight my battles musically rather than going physical," he said.

Additionally, Aganaga addressed claims that he is back with his first manager, Emma Carlos. He called him a friend and partner whom he always consults in case there is something that requires technical knowledge because he knows his roots.

Aganaga's concert is scheduled for August 24, with entrance being sh10,000 (ordinary) and sh50,000 VIP.
