Kampala buzzes as Dexta Daps prepares to headline Noise Nation concert

Excitement is sweeping across Kampala as Jamaican superstar Dexta Daps prepares to headline the highly anticipated Noise Nation Concert this Saturday, December 14th, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Marking his first-ever performance in Africa and Uganda, Dexta Daps’ arrival has electrified Ugandan music lovers, who are eagerly awaiting the chance to experience his soulful hits live on stage.

Louis Anthony Grandison, popularly known by his stage name Dexta Daps, is a Jamaican dancehall and reggae artist celebrated for his hit songs such as "No Underwear" and "Call Me If."

Dexta Daps arrived in Uganda on Wednesday and was met with a vibrant reception that showcased the country’s warmth and cultural energy. At a press conference held at Noni Vie yesterday, the Jamaican sensation couldn’t hide his excitement.

“I feel energized to finally set foot in the motherland,” Dexta Daps shared. “It’s been all love since I touched down, and on Saturday, I will be giving a performance to return the energy I have received so far.”

The Noise Nation Concert is designed to be more than just a music event; it’s a sensory celebration of Ugandan culture. Speaking at the press conference, Justin Agaba, a representative from Uganda Breweries, highlighted the vision behind the event.

“Noise Nation is a celebration of Uganda's rich heritage and innovation,” Agaba said.

The Lugogo Cricket Oval will transform into a vibrant cultural hub, featuring captivating art installations, food stalls, and an electrifying fashion spectacle. To complement Dexta Daps’ performance, the stage will be graced by an impressive lineup of local and international stars. Swangz Avenue All Stars, including Elijah Kitaka, Winnie Nwagi, Azawi, Vinka, Zafaran, Ava Peace, and Zagazilions, will bring their A-game, while celebrated artists like Nutty Neithan, John Blaq, Dax Vibes, and Double Black are set to thrill the crowd.
