Martha Mukisa was recently bullied on social media when she belatedly praised Minister of State for Minerals, Phiona Nyamutooho, for hosting President Museveni at her thanksgiving ceremony on Nebbi.

Her critics went on a body-shaming spree instead. Mukisa refers to Eddy Kenzo, Nyamutooro’s fiancé, as her mentor in music.

Mukisa worked closely with Kenzo when she was under his Big Talent label in the past

“I was shocked to see that some women, particularly those struggling in their own lives or leadership roles, attacking me,” she says.

She says that as one who was created in God’s image, she will not be bullied by anyone.

“I am cute, beautiful, sexy, interesting, attractive. I have a nice complexion, a good figure, and height. I possess all the qualities of a good wife that any man would admire and cherish. Those who body-shame me simply don’t understand, and they are ignorant of the truth,” she said.

However, Mukisa says that her body-shamers are beyond understanding. The only reason she is responding to them is to protect her future children.

“I am not addressing this issue to fight back against those who insult my looks and size, but for my future children. Our children, who will take on the roles we now hold, need to know that they are beautiful, intelligent, smart, attractive, honored, and respected. They are beautiful, are loved by God, and capable of becoming whatever they aspire to be. This mindset is what will keep them moving forward and relevant. I am relevant now because I know they only criticize me because I’ve achieved a certain level of success,” she preached.
