Museveni donates sh10m to Gravity’s mother’s burial

President Yoweri Museveni has offered Gravity Omutujju (real name Gereson Wabuyu) and family sh10m in condolence, as contributions towards the burial arrangement of his mother, Jane Kajoina.

This was contained in the president’s message to the bereaved. The message was read during the burial in Nyantabooma, Fort Portal on Monday afternoon by Haruna Kasolo Kyeyune, the Minister of State for Microfinance and Small Enterprises.

Kajoina died in her sleep last Friday. According to Gravity, she suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes.

A large number of prominent artistes, including Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, Nina Roz, Mudra D Viral, Green Daddy, Shakira Shakira, and Crysto Panda, were present to offer their condolences and stand by their fellow musician during this difficult time.

The somber gathering was not only attended by figures from the music industry but also saw political leaders expressing their sympathies. Prime Minister Robinah Nabanja, who extended her condolences, contributed sh2m towards the burial. Her contribution was also delivered to the bereaved by Kasolo Kyeyune.

The support from fellow artistes, political leaders, and media from across the country has been a source of comfort for the rapper and his family during this painful period.
