Revellers who attended the second edition of the Ultimate Meet and Groove, organised by city DJ Deejay Ditie256 (real name Isaac Mungudit) at Kyoto Lounge, Centenary Park, were left in awe and excitement following a remarkable experience.
The event commenced in the early hours with a barbecue session, where attendees were greeted by the enticing aroma of roasted meat and bananas while engaging in various board games.
Following the barbecue, there was a performance session featuring gospel artistes such as Titus Kuteesa, John Marie, Lena Price, Rinic Jemimah, Colifixe, and many more. Ditie256's performance served as a grand finale, lighting up the peak of the event with his powerful performance.
He took the stage dressed in an all-black suit with black boots and tape measure strings. His set began with Mesach Semakula's hit song "Kankutendereze," a thanksgiving song that praises God for his abundant provisions.
Speaking to New Vision, the DJ expressed that the show meant almost everything to him. Reflecting on the turnout and how much the revellers enjoyed the event, he attributed the success to divine intervention.
"To my expectations, I saw God's hand move in the place. People were happy and are eager for the next event. I am very happy that it all turned out this way and I am very hopeful that this will continue every year," he said.
The event showcased a vibrant array of local gospel music, a mix of games that thrilled the revelers, and an eatery featuring roasted meat. It was indeed a meat and groove event that kept attendees dancing late into the night.
