Ugandan singer and songwriter based in the US, Susan Basemera a.k.a Zani Lady C is back in the news again. This time it is not because of a Hollywood movie or a new song but rather a good cause.
Zani is in the news because she came across a young talented group of artistes and has decided to support their music and take them to the next level.
Zani Lady C known for mellifluous songs like Ndoowa, Nindako and Maria says she chose to take that direction after she was blown away by the talent of the group known as Friction Force.
The Friction Force artistes pose for a photo. They are excited about Zani Lady C's support.
Speaking to Zani Lady C, she was following a friend’s Facebook live video chat with some artistes known as Friction Force, an upcoming music group.
While on the live video chat, the singers did a freestyle which she liked and also got touched by their story of how they want to sing but have not gotten someone to help their career.
‘’I follow Ugandan music and there is too much talent but when I watched these boys sing, I was amazed and decided to look for their contact to tell them personally” Zani said. She went on and said that when they said they had four songs and they were not yet recorded, she offered them studio time which she paid for at XTRA Nation owned by producer Artin.
According to one of the members of Friction force, they have already started recording the song titled Ndi Mukodo and it will soon be released. He went on and said that Zani Lady C promised that if the audio is nice, she will also pay for their video to be shot.
Friction force is a group of 4 singers who started music in 2020 and sing in different languages which are Luganda, Jamaican patois, English and Nubian.
