Vision Group, Nile Special sponsor Oktoberfest

Vision Group has joined Nile Special to host the 2022 edition of Oktoberfest festival  due to take place on October 1 at the Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo.

According to the event’s organisers, this edition of the Oktoberfest will run under the theme Recognising The Friendship And Strong Cultural And Economic Partnerships Between Germany and Uganda And Celebrating This Unique Relationship Through Food, Drink And Art.

Speaking during a press conference at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel on September 1, Kenneth Oduka, the Vision Group broadcast marketing manager, promised a wide pre and post coverage of the festival through Urban TV, New Vision and the company's online platforms, including The Kampala Sun.

On his part, John Paul Semakula, the Nile Breweries connections manager, promised the biggest beer celebration and excitement to all beer lovers through its Nile Special flagship brand.

The German Ambassador to Uganda , Matthias Schauer, is expected to be the guest of honour, with reggae maestro Maddox Sematimba as the headliner.

The Oktoberfest will feature other activities like costume competition, games like arm wrestling, eating challenges, beer straw challenges, beer pong, where the best dressed will be awarded with a return ticket for two by Brussels Airline.

Other sponsors of the events include Stanic bank, Ranchers Finest, Pepsi, Jibu and the Germany Embassy in Uganda .
