Sheebah Karungi has opened up about the toughest concert of her career, naming last year’s highly publicized music battle with fellow star Cindy Sanyu.
While it was a defining moment, it became a source of conflict rather than a display of dominance.
The event, which divided fans into two passionate camps, presented emotional and personal challenges for Sheebah, who has always advocated for peace, love, and unity.
Sheebah mentioned this during a press conference for her upcoming “Neyanzinza” concert that will take place on October 4, 2024, at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Reflecting on the experience, Sheebah admitted the negativity surrounding the battle was difficult to handle.
“The show that challenged me most was the battle because it had a lot of negativity, and I don’t operate like that,” she shared.
“It was all about fighting, with fans clashing and going against each other, causing divisions. But that is not who I am. I work with unity rather than separation. I’m a lover, not a hater, and I spread more love than hate,” she said.
However, despite the friction, she acknowledges that the event ended on a high note. Fans, who were initially divided, got the exhilarating and unforgettable show they had anticipated.
"Everyone got what they wanted out of it," Sheebah said.
“I take pride in knowing we delivered something special, despite our differences,” she added.
Poor Sheebah, it seems she went into the concert without having done her homework on battle shows.
