Kyabazinga receives COVID-19 jab

The Kyabazinga was vaccinated with the Astrazeneca vaccine and other members of the Royal family were also vaccinated.

The exercise was led by the District Health Officer of Kamuli Dr. Duku Fred with a team of health workers.

BUSOGA - The Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Gabula Nadiope IV has Friday, been vaccinated against the Coronavirus together with the members of the Royal family. 

The event took place at his Budhumbula palace in Kamuli District.

The exercise was led by the District Health Officer of Kamuli Dr. Duku Fred with a team of health workers.

The Kyabazinga was vaccinated with the Astrazeneca vaccine. His brother Prince Arnold Nadiope, the Kingdom’s junior minister for health, Sheila Birungi Gandi, the CEO of Gabula Royal Foundation Isaac Imaka, the Issabalangira of Bugabula BB chiefdom Henry Woira and other members of the Royal family were also vaccinated.

Emphasising the importance of being vaccinated against Covid-19, Birungi called upon Basoga to go and get vaccinated and also continue observing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in public.

The executive director of Gabula Royal Foundation Imaka Isaac encouraged the people of Busoga to embrace the vaccination exercise as one of the ways of fighting Covid-19.

Journalists present were also vaccinated against Covid-19 at the same event.

After the vaccination process, the Kyabazinga led a delegation for a guided field tour of the farm projects in his palace where he encouraged modern farming as a way to enhance livelihood.
