MUKONO - Two-year-old Zuma Mutesi is seeking financial assistance to go to India for an open heart surgery.

Her mother, Hamidah Nangoobi, a resident of  Mukono town in Mukono district, says her child had breathing problems right from birth.

"I have been in and out of hospital to rectify my child’s breathing problem, but the treatment hasn’t yielded good results. I was recently advised by the doctors to take my baby to the Uganda Heart Institute (UHI) for further investigations," Nangoobi says.

She adds that it was at UHI it was confirmed that Mutesi has a heart problem that needs urgent open-heart surgery in India because her problem cannot be rectified in Uganda.
