Paramount chief Rwot David Onen Acana II has summoned all the chiefs of the Acholi chiefdom.

The development is aimed at ironing out the issues affecting the proper management and administration of the cultural institution.

This follows the move by a section of the Acholi clan chiefs to oust Acana, deputy Rwot Martin Otinga Otto Yai II of Lamogi, as well as the entire leadership of Ker Kwaro Acholi over what they termed as 13 misdeeds affecting the proper running of the cultural institution.

The clan heads also accuse the cultural institution's leadership of failing to write a constitution for governing it, misappropriating funds provided to the cultural institution in the form of grants, aid, and donations, and imposing himself as king of Acholi whereas not, among others.

The resolutions were read to the press by Rwot Justine Ocitti Binyi of Pagak Chiefdom along with Rwot Collins Atiku Mutu II of Patiko Chief at Northern Uganda Media Club Premises in Gulu City on Wednesday.

The chiefs issued a 14-day ultimatum for Rwot Acana to step down from his office as paramount chief, his deputy, and the entire team currently at Ker Kwaro Acholi.
