Angolan president Joao Lourenco of Angola and his Ethiopian counterpart Taye Atske Selassie have today, January 10, 2025, arrived in Uganda to attend the African Union Extraordinary Summit on Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP).
Ethiopia's President Taye Atske Selassie arrives at Entebbe Airport for the AU Summit. He was received by Hon Jacob Oboth (R) and several Foreign Affairs Officers.
The summit taking place at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala city kicked off on January 9, 2025 and will end on January 11, 2025.

At Entebbe International Airport, the heads of state were received by defence minister Jacob Oboth Oboth, Uganda’s Permanent Representative to the AU and IGAD, Ambassador Rebecca Amuge Otengo, Uganda’s Ambassador to Sudan Dr Yahya Ssemuddu, UPDF Air Force Chief of Staff Brig. Gen. David Gonyi, Uganda Police chief political commissar AIGP Ubaldo Bamunoba, assistant commissioner general of Prisons Robert Munanura and a delegation from the Ethiopian Embassy in Uganda led by Ambassador Etsegenet Yimenu.
