Kenyan political party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), has commended the National Resistance Movement (NRM) for its ideological training.
During a visit to the Kyankwanzi district-based National Leadership Institute (NALI) on February 5, 2025, UDA secretary general, Hassan Omar, said coming to Kyankwanzi is an honour.
“Coming to a place where the NRM party was born is a journey of discovery and this will illuminate our fantasies,” Hassan said.
He noted that with the knowledge and skills that people attain from Kyankwanzi, Kenya will start up an ideology school to groom their young leaders.
He revealed that he contested as a representative of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) because he thought that through EALA, they can set the basis for removing the borders that have divided and split our communities.
NRM external affairs director, Maj. Awich Pollar, said they are lucky to partner with UDA.
Awich revealed that during the EALA meeting in Uganda last year, the UDA leadership led by secretary general, Hassan Omar, came to the NRM seeking to strengthen collaboration.
"They are here because they want to learn from us and we also want to learn from them. As a party, we believe that you cannot learn from NRM unless you see the facts that bring out the NRM,” Awich said adding that the NRM party has been in power because they have the support of the people.
