Olweny allegedly stabbed his wife Jackline Amony, 25, to death on February 9, 2025, at around 11:00pm near a bar located within Potika trading center where they had gone for a drink.

Joe Oloya, the acting police spokesperson Aswa East Region said a case of murder was reported by Francis Bob Opio, 30, a resident of Dog Gudi A village in Paloga sub-county.
