“We ask the Churches to focus more on young people and empower them to participate in the development of their country since they are energetic and comprise almost 78% of our population,” said Bahati.
He explained that it was also important for the Church to help in building the character of young people and nurture them into useful citizens since they are key stakeholders in the present and future of the Church.

The bishop, who gave a personal life testimony of his humble background, asked congregation to stop despising others when they are still struggling in life, saying many of them, including himself have become important people in life.
“Someone you despise today may become something else in future, we have seen people struggling in school but later become professors or the poor acquiring wealth later in life,” he said and applauded people who welcomed him during his pastoral visit.
