The Sebei sub-region in eastern Uganda is filled with excitement as the renowned gospel preacher, Pastor Robert Kayanja, prepares for his first visit.
“I confirm to you all the people of Sebei, Elgon region and Eastern Uganda that Pastor Kayanja, has obliged to make this season our own,” Bishop Tom Soyekwo, announced Kayanja’s visit.
He said Kayanja would be with them for one day on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Weeks after his powerful German prayer mission in the capital, Berlin, Kayanja is expected to be welcomed by the Faithful at Kapchorwa Boma Grounds.
“We are ready to welcome the man of God, Pr. Kayanja to Sebei,” Abraham Kiplimo, an ardent Christian said in an interview with New Vision Online.
“I have been waiting for this moment for years,” exclaimed Kiplimo who also doubles as one of the leaders of the organizing committee as well as the programs manager at the Olympics back-to-back Champion and record holder, Joshua Cheptegei’s Development Foundation.
Interestingly, Kayanja’s coming will coincide with the homecoming of the country’s well-decorated long-distance runners led by Cheptegei who represented Uganda at the just concluded Paris Olympics Games 2024.
It is against that background that Kayanja is lined up to host the returning runners and a few selected leaders to a breakfast meeting before proceeding to Boma Ground for the open-air crusade.
The meet with athletes will be hosted at the Joshua Cheptegei Athletics High Altitude Training Centre adjacent to the state-owned National High Altitude Training Centre (NHATC)
