Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda, Anita Among has congratulated the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his wife Janet Kataha Museveni for achieving the 50th wedding anniversary milestone.
"I thank God for shepherding you and your family into transforming this country, and it is evident that you achieved all that thanks to the stable family you and the First Lady are running, which underscores your position as a role model for all of us, especially the young people, on the centrality of family as a building constituent of country," Among said via the X social media site.
Among who is currently in Rome, expressed gratitude to the first family and sent blessings and glad tidings to the family which she wished many more anniversaries.
On Friday the Bukedea woman member of parliament, held talks with Pope Francis in the Vatican.
During the meeting, the Pontiff acknowledged the effort of President Museveni to promote family values and putting God first.
