KAMPALA - In his message to believers who turned up for Eid al-Adha prayers at Kibuli Mosque in Kampala, Supreme Mufti Sheikh Muhammad Shaban Galabuzi condemned the mass killings of students in Kasese district.
The killings allegedly committed by the Allied Democratic Front (ADF) extremists, left 45 people dead, including 38 students of Mpondwe-Lhubiriha secondary school.
Galabuzi further condemned the recent killings of the four family members that were killed in Masaka recently, urging the government to carry out speedy investigations behind the killings of Ugandans in the country.

In his message, Prince Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu, the titular head of Muslims in Uganda congratulated Muslims upon reaching Eid al-Adha, asking them to always be vigilant following the recent killings of Ugandan soldiers in Somalia, Kasese students and Masaka.
Nakibinge lauded the government for patching portholes within the city.
“What you have done is a relief for Ugandans but how long will this marram that you have fielded into the roads last? Let's hope that in the recently released financial budget of 2023/24, funds for road construction were availed to,” Nakibinge said.
