President Yoweri Museveni, who was represented by Alupo, called on the private sector players to invest in the development of the untapped tourism resources in northern Uganda, especially Fort Patiko and other historical sites, such as Wodelai, Dufi le, Lututulu, Palabek and the rock art sites in eastern Uganda, among others. He equally urged the private sector to put educational recreation services in all museums in the region in order to make Uganda attractive not only to international tourists, but also to domestic ones. A police officer pulls Eng. David Otika, the Rubanda water officer and Eric Sivaseya, the Kanungu district Engineer upon their arrest. Four district engineers from Kigezi region have been arrested for allegedly causing financial loss to the government through abuse of office and corruption.The suspects were arrested on Tuesday evening by officials from State House Anti-Corruption Unit and the economic monitoring unit of the State house and recorded statements at Kabale Municipal council main hall.
