Busoga Province management team has decided to recruit Modern FC assistant coach Hassan Zungu as head coach.
Zungu replaces Alex Isabirye who has a tight schedule with CAF-bound Uganda Cup champions BUL FC.
Busoga Province team head Robert Musoke revealed that his team decided to respect a decision by BUL FC that couldn't allow Isabirye to get involved in any outside activities.
"Isabirye has a contract with BUL FC that doesn't allow him to get involved with other coaching duties. Of course, we know that he has a busy schedule with his club. For that matter, we have decided to bring Zungu to guide this team,' said Musoke.
Zungu will be assisted by Saleh Muwayi along with Kenneth Magada as goalkeeping coach.
The team began training on Tuesday at Modern arena playground, the home of Gaddafi Modern FC.
Former Express FC goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga will be assisted by Mohammed Didi in the goal.
Other prominent big-name players are Vipers FC defensive pair of Halid Lwaliwa and Livingston Mulondo as well as former teammate Aggrey Madoi.
Fans favorite David Bagoole, Cranes captain Khalid Aucho, and Express FC's Dan Shabena will all marshall the midfield while Joel Madondo, Richard Basangwa, Isma Mugulusi, and surprise Reagan Kalyowa from BUL FC will lead the attack.
Waisswa Kasango is a surprise package from Bugabula Saza .The 21-year-old has netted four times for Bugabula Saza in Group C of the ongoing Busoga Masaza Cup tournament, helping it qualify for the quarter-finals with five wins out of five.
Busoga province hosts Teso province in the opening match of the FUFA drum on July 30 at Iganga Saza ground.
