Muhammed Shaaf plundered 3/18 in 5.18 overs as Aziz Damani Development extended their winning start to the season to six games with a nine-wicket victory over Nyakasura yesterday at Entebbe Cricket Oval.
Shaaf claimed man-of-match honours after snaring the wickets of Isaac Ategaka, Pascal Murungi, and Mathew Musinguzi, to go along with one maiden out of his overs, as his side bowled out Nyakasura for 81 in 24.2 overs.
Brian Masaba claimed three wickets like Shaaf, although for the loss of four more runs. He added a single maiden for good measure.
Brian Asaba led Nyakasura with 18 runs off 43 runs, while Fortune Alijuna and Ivan Thawithemwira added 15 and 14 runs respectively. Their total was anything but prohibitive, and Damani Development took little time to complete the chase, thanks to Robinson Obuya (29 runs), Fahad Mutagana (23), and Roger Mukasa (16).
Lindon Mutengesa claimed Nyakasura’s sole wicket, off Mukasa.
Damani Development are top of the Premier League, four points above the unbeaten Challengers, who have played two games less. Below is the table in full.
