The qualifying teams demonstrated exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship during a five-day competition held last week at Bishop Maraka College in Kumi District. Their performances secured them a place among the country’s top school teams.
Eliphaz Opolot Ewalu, Headteacher of Ngora High School, emphasized the significance of the tournament, noting that it not only showcases athletic talent but also promotes unity, leadership, and personal growth among students. He highlighted the achievement of Amus College School, Bukedea Comprehensive School, and Ngora High School, which will be making their fourth appearance at the nationals, while TEPA Secondary School will debut at the competition.
Ewalu also mentioned that Wiggins, Bukedea Comprehensive North, and Amuria High School narrowly missed qualification after exiting in the quarterfinals of the regional tournament.
