Fortbet Real Stars for July awarded

Joseph Ssewali, the captain of Ssingo FC in the Buganda Masaza Cup tournament reveals that being recognized as the best footballer for July in the Fortebet Real Stars Sports monthly awards is a sign that his hard work is appreciated.

Therefore, it has motivated him to double his efforts to be better than he is now.

“I am very excited to win this award, it is an indicator that you people appreciate what I do because you voted for me out of the many nominees,” Ssewali noted.

“When the leaders of Ssingo FC handed the captain’s armband to me, I promised to return with the Masaza Cup trophy, therefore, winning such an award is a big motivation for me to keep working hard to fulfill that promise,” he added.

Ssewali's good scoring form in July helped him beat competition from Buluuli's duo of forward Robert Ssewanyana and goalkeeper Enoch Kabuuka for the award.

He scored three goals in four matches, two of them against bitter rivals Gomba in the 4-0 victory and another against Kyaggwe in the 2-1 win and both games were played at home at Ssaza grounds Mityana. 

Ssingo is at the top of the Muganzirwaza group with 11 points from five matches and is still unbeaten.

Their next match is on Sunday at home to third-place-placed Mawogola in the group.

Other Fortebet Real Stars award winners in different sports disciplines are Sarah Nazziwa in Para-Badminton, Aaron Ofoyrwoth in Ruby, and Sulaiman Segawa in boxing.

Each of these winners received a gong and an undisclosed cash prize from the sponsors Jude Colour Solutions and Fortebet.
