Lim Lim wins Northern Region Seniors Golf Tournament

Robert Lim Lim and Ruth Ssali carded 75 and 79nett respectively to top the Northern Region Seniors Golf Tournament played at the Lira Golf Club on Saturday.

Playing off handicaps 8 and 17, respectively, Lim Lim and Ssali beat a host of seasoned senior golfers to claim their first seniors’ accolades of the season from both genders at the nine-hole course.

Jim Bitwire Okello Ocero and the lady senior golfer were the best in the gold category of the 75-79 years, while George Egaddu was the sole winner in the over 80 years platinum category.

The best players in the 55-64 years category were C.D. Langoya (79nett), Bernard Amwine (86nett) and William Mutyaba (89nett) as Emmanuel Arima and Edrae Kagombe walked away with the best gross score prizes after they returned 83 and 93 respectively.

Under their umbrella organization the Uganda Senior Golfing Society, the senior golfers promote the game of golf amongst their members by organising competitive golfing activities in the north, east and central regions.
