The Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) has announced that the Nile Special National Open will be pushed back by two weeks.

The Open Grand Finale, initially scheduled for November 16, will now be played on November 30.

In an unprecedented move, PAU clarified that the prestigious tournament grand finale would be delayed by only two weeks, which is better than initially communicated.

“We believe this new date will allow for an even more thrilling event. We look forward to seeing you there,” said Katongole George, Publicity Secretary of PAU.

The pool fraternity was shocked by the news of the postponement, but many are relieved that it is not a lengthy delay. This season of the Open has been full of surprises, so one more was not unexpected.

The organizers also confirmed that the venue would remain unchanged, with the event still set to take place at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

The Pool League will also resume action this week after a weekend break. Upper Volta will visit Greater Mukono, table leaders Scrap Buyers will host Tororo Tigers, and Rox Berry will take on Pot-It in Najjanankumbi.

Adi’s Pool Club will host Kireka at Adi’s Spot, while Sinkers will face Mbale at New Victoria Club in Kireka.
