Rhinos Rugby Club coach Marshal Tchumcam has urged his charges to step up their game to achieve their target of finishing the Uganda Cup in the top three.
Marshal noted this after a 16-16 draw with Jinja Hippos in the Group stages of the Nile Special Uganda Cup tournament game at Legends Rugby Club Naguru.
Tchumcam believes that his attacking department needs to develop self-confidence and focus because they wasted several chances in the game that would have granted them victory.
“We had two knock-ons that would have given us victory if we had scored those tries but we are going on drawing board to see what we can put much emphasis on,” Marshal noted.
“But again, I am impressed with our defense, it was good and there are a few things we have to perfect,” He added.
Arnold Ocen and Emma Kwebikawa managed a try each while Ivan Kirabo managed two penalties for the hosts while Bruno Kisule and Andrew Odhiambo managed a try each for Hippos and Maxwell Ebonga added two penalty Kicks.
In Mbale, the Stanbic Black Pirates defeated Elgon Wolves 39-3 with Jonathan Luhoni managing a hat-trick of tries, a Penalty Try by Rodney Mugume.
and Pius Ojeabulu while Jesse Kamali and Kieron Erem managed a conversion each and Jesse Kamali a penalty.
At Kyadondo, Heathens beat Walukuba 17-3 with Emmanuel Byamugisha, Michael Amolo, and Jordan Bongomin scoring a try each as Chris Lubanga added a conversion.
