Super welterweight Isaac Zebra Ssenyange Jr. has rallied his fans to flock to Nakivubo Stadium in thousands as he vies for his maiden professional boxing title against Abbas Seguya.

Ssenyange Jr, son of the legendary Zebra ‘Mando’ Ssenyange (rip) is one of the myriad top guns lined up from the different sports disciplines as the newly constructed Nakivubo Stadium officially opens on Saturday, June 1.

“I’m extremely happy to fight on this special day. This is one of a kind not only in Uganda’s sports sector but also in entertainment,” Ssenyange told Vision Sports.

“I commend Hajji Hamis Kiggundu for the opportunity. I have been seeing such similar events like this from abroad, and I urge all my fans countrywide to flock to Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, and bear witness as I floor Seguya”

Ssenyange Jr. who turned professional on December 29, the same day his father was shot dead in 2020 in Bwaise, a Kampala suburb, is one of the hotcakes in Ugandan paid ranks.

His mission is to supersede his father’s greatness starting with his blockbuster against Seguya this Saturday at Nakivubo.

Against Seguya, the former national boxing team, The bomber’s southpaw stands a huge chance of attaining his maiden pro title.

He comes into this one having knocked out all his previous three opponents in pro boxing including Tanzania’s veteran Alibaba Tarimo and the Egyptian duo of Ibrahim Kandel and Ramy Mahdi respectively.

Seguya on the other side has only lost once of the five pro fights against Farahat Manirola and vows to upset Ssenyange Jr.

“I’m going to fight under the roofs of a new multi-sports stadium and I can’t take this for granted. I urge my fans to come early because they may miss seeing my knockout against Ssenyange Jr.”

Besides Ssenyange Jr VS Sseguya, the other boxing thriller will witness lightweight Zahara Nandawula who features for the bombers and Lukanga boxing club taking on Flavia Babirye not to forget Moses Golola vs Umar Semata kickboxing trilogy.
