Auditions for global kids and teens pageant held in Kampala

Auditions for children that will participate in the first edition of the Kids and Teens Pageant Global Uganda were held at the Golf Course Hotel, Kampala on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

The beauty competition will feature boys and girls aged between six and 18 years from various primary and secondary schools.

According to Doreen Namugenyi, the country director of Kids and Teens Global Uganda, the competition is a talent search with categories such as Mini Miss Global (four-nine years), Little Miss Global (10-12years), Miss Pre Teen Global (13-15 years), Little Mr Global (four-12 years) and Miss Teen Global (13-18 years).

"The auditions attracted over 25 children and we are expecting the number to be around 60 as some children are still in school completing their first term studies,” she said.

The winners will be announced at an event that will be held at Nsambya Sharing Hall gardens on May 26, 2024.

The winners in each category will be taken to Cambodia and the other winners will be taken to Thailand and Malaysia to represent Uganda at the next edition of this pageant.

The event was attended by Michela Amato, the current Little Miss Global 2024. She won the crown at the an event that was held in Malaysia from March 4-8, 2024.
