On Sunday (November 3) all roads lead to Sheraton Hotel Kampala for the annual Christmas concert organized by the Choristers Association of Uganda, an ecumenical organization that promotes solidarity and cooperation among ecclesial choral groups in Uganda.
The day-long concert starting at 9:00am will feature over 15 church choirs, including
Alleluia Choir from St. Mbaaga’s Seminary Ggaba, Caltec Academy Brass Ensemble, Seraphim Choir (from Virika Cathedral, Fort Portal), St. Augustine Choir from Kabale, St. Joseph English Choir from Juba Archdiocese (South Sudan), Pan African Choir, Uganda Martyrs SS Bukalagi, St. Stephen’s Church of Uganda Kabowa and Masaka diocesan choir, just to name a few. Celebrated Catholic Gospel artiste Fr. Anthony Aliddeki Musaala will also perform as a solo artiste.
Speaking during an interview with the New Vision, the Coordinator of Choristers Association of Uganda, Justine Nabbaale said the concert will have an element of friendly competition, which is why there will be prizes to be won.
Last year’s competition was won by Alleluia Choir from St. Mbagaa’s Major Seminary Ggaba.
