The Bishop of Bunyoro-Kitara Diocese, Rt Rev. Jacob Ateirweho Amooti, has urged Christians to use this holy week as an opportunity to commit to a lifetime of holy deeds.

Bishop Ateirweho made the remarks on Wednesday morning at Hoima central market while launching the keep Hoima city clean exercise organised by the mothers’ union and the Christian women fellowship of the diocese.



Bishop Ateirweho also commended the Hoima city leadership for the efforts they are putting to keep the city clean.

Reverend Jennifer Nyangoma Ssetabi, the diocesan women's ministry coordinator, urged the people of Hima city to always participate in such activities that aim at improving their wellbeing.



Achiles Kiiza, the Hoima city secretary for health and education, revealed that the city still faces a challenge of non-compliant residents who continue to dispose of waste improperly.
