Singer Peace Mbabazi shines at 13th edition of 'Rukundo Egumeho'

Because the organisers knew their guests and performers, there was less dancing on the stage and all the action was done on the ground, maybe to avoid breaking the stage with the heavy jumping.

Bakiga Nation, the organisers of the 13th edition of Rukundo Egumeho, chose the right venue for their audience - the Indian Association Grounds in Lugogo, Kampala.

From the kind of music the revellers dance to, the Indian Association Grounds was a big plus for them.

True to their culture, revellers were seen sipping their local brew from calabashes at the event held on Sunday, June 2, 2024; even the Pilsner Lager, which was the main sponsor, was consumed in a local style.

Peace Mbabazi lit up the evening with her gospel music, which left no one sitting for close to one hour.

If you have been at a wedding or event organised by people from the western region, you know the kind of gospel music they dance to and that's the kind Mbabazi performed.

Because the organisers knew their guests and performers, there was less dancing on the stage and all the action was done on the ground, maybe to avoid breaking the stage with the heavy jumping.

By the time Sheebah Karungi walked onto the stage, it had been warmed up by the Qwela Band who performed using the local drums.

It was a great evening as revellers were seen hanging and merrymaking throughout the day.
