Police have identified three suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a 46-year-old photographer in Kikuube district.

Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Allan Hakiza said the suspects are assisting Police with investigations into the death of Augustine Turyamureeba, a professional photographer, who was killed in the early hours of April 18, 2025.

The incident occurred at around 3:00am in Kacope village, Ruguse parish, Bugambe sub-county.

The suspects include Nicholas Wamani, 20, son of prime suspect Scovia Katushabe; Expedito Tindyebwa, 48, husband to Katushabe; and Luke Kahwa, aged 37.

Scovia Katushabe, 46, is still at large.

According to Hakiza, the killing is believed to have stemmed from a land dispute involving members of the family of the late Makobore John, father of the prime suspect.
