Pool Clubs and players must wait until August 18, when the National League resumes.
This follows the postponement of the games meant to begin this weekend August 4 at the sponsors' request, according to the vice-president, James Mwere.
“We want to make the opening ceremony bigger and that called for us to consider the sponsors' request to postpone it for some days, but we shall soon have the league start,” Mwere confirmed.
Meanwhile, former Nile Special National Pool Open champions Ceasor Chandiga and Manisul Bwanika will lead Upper Volta Pool Club in the quest for their maiden league silverware.

The two stars lost the Pool King and Queen tournament title to Joseph Kasozi, and they look at the league as an opportunity to redeem their brand and that of their Club.
Fauzah Namuganza, the Club captain told Vision Sport that her charges are ready for the challenge, but their focus is the league title, and they are going for the win.
“I am confident we have a stronger side. Our players are ready for the opponents, and we are going for a win,” Namuganza told Vision Sport.
The Cyclops Security and MJ Safaris sponsored club missed last year’s crown by a whisker to Mbale Pool Club who are the defending champions.

Boasting experienced players including Keneth Odongo, Yuda Sembuusi, Mustafa Bwire, Moses Omara, and Gideon Bwanika the Kasubi-based side was meant to start their league quest at home against Adis Pool Club.
In the other opening fixtures, Sinkers will take on Kireka at New Victoria Club Kireka, in Mukono, Greater Mukono hosts Wakiso in another competitive game and Tororo Tigers play Roxberry while Capital Night play club 408.
