Soaring Uganda back to face Nigeria

Uganda will look to make it five wins in five when they take on Nigeria today in the Africa Continental Cup at the Gahanga International Cricket Stadium in Rwanda.

The Cricket Cranes have opened up a four-point lead atop the standings of the four-team tournament after dominating their way through the event.

Today’s outing is an opportunity for Abhay Sharma’s side to test themselves again against opponents who found a decent level of batting comfort against them.

Although Uganda beat Nigeria by five wickets (DLS), the West Africans managed to put 133 runs on the board in the first encounter between the sides two days ago, something that will give them a measure of confidence against the defending champions.

Dominant Uganda are assured of reaching the final of the tournament later this week, where it will take something special for their defense to be stopped.
