The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) has officially welcomed Futsal into the lineup for the upcoming Ball Games II 2025.
This news was shared by the USSSA Chief Executive Officer, Mugisha Christopher Banage, in a statement that laid out the competition roadmap.
“Futsal joins the party as the latest discipline to come on board,” the USSSA statement declared.
The Ball Games II 2025, which is the largest secondary school sports event in Uganda, is set to take place from July 10th to 19th at St. Peter’s College in Tororo.
Students from all over the country will compete in a diverse array of sports during this national competition.
“Time to gear up for Ball Games II, check out our 2025 roadmap,” the USSSA announced in an official release.
This announcement comes on the heels of the successful conclusion of Ball Games I, which showcased events like the National Ball Games I and the Football Boys Championship held at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Ngora High School, respectively.
“Uganda Secondary School Sports Association (USSSA) appreciates and congratulates you upon the conclusion of Ball Games I and the Football Boys Championship,” a letter from USSSA stated.
“Milestone achieved. Ball Games I successfully completed,” the statement continued.
The 2025 edition of Ball Games II will feature a rich variety of sports for both boys and girls. These include CAF Football U14, Football U16, Basketball U16, Basketball 3×3, DanceSport, Woodball, Beach Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Lacrosse, Mind Games (Chess, Ludo, Scrabble), Volleyball, Netball (for girls only), Handball, Athletics & Cross Country, Rugby 7s, and now Futsal.
The roadmap details the entire preparation process leading up to the event.
Online registration kicked off on May 21 and will wrap up on June 25, 2025.
Following that, District Qualifiers will take place from June 2 to June 23, and Zonal Qualifiers
