Azawi, Winnie Nwagi, and the Abeeka trio that thrilled fans at the Bride & Groom Expo 2024

After 15 years in existence, the Bride & Groom Expo has surely come of age and lived to its billing. None can agree more than the thousands of fans that have attended the biggest bridal expo in Uganda over the years.

Those who turned up this year were in more than a trance when musicians Azawi, Fire Baby-Winnie Nwagi, and Abeeka Band entertained attendees at the recently concluded Bride & Groom Expo 2024.

The first to hit the stage was Azawi, who rocked the crowd on Friday night. Saturday belonged to Nwagi, who, clad in a red, body-hanging silk gown, electrified her fans. Fans were on their feet, singing and dancing along with their star of the night as soon as she stepped onto the mega stage. In the end, she left them still on their feet, cheering, clapping, and yearning for more of her performance, but it was time to call it a night.

Sunday evening belonged to the Abeeka Band, who belted songs that spoke to the hearts of brides and grooms-to-be, those celebrating their marriage anniversaries, and young fans who turned up to have a good time.

The crowd was delighted as the models, both young and old, men and women, strutted the runway, showcasing exquisite flower girl dresses, peg boy suits, lingerie, wedding gowns, and suits for both grooms and groom's men, all projected onto large screens.

As the expo came to an end on Sunday night, it delivered top-notch entertainment in celebration of its crystal jubilee, leaving fans blown away, cheering, and promising to return next year.

Penny Bold Bridal, Fragolino, Crown Beverages (Pepsi), The Looks Bespoke, Uganda Breweries Ltd, and Health Care Ltd, in partnership with Uganda Airlines, Café Javas, Signature Jewellery, the Kenya Tourism Board, Marasa Africa, and the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, supported Vision Group to organise the Bride & Groom Expo this year.
