I was denied visa over bank balance - Fik Gaza

Fik Gaza, real name Shafik Dangota, is often caught on the wrong side of the moral law. So, when he was recently denied a UK visa, many anticipated that it was related to crime.

We have however since found out that the notorious singer was denied the visa due to his questionable management of his bank account.

“I was denied the visa after they questioned my statement,” Fik Gaza said during an interview in Makindye on July 2, 2024.

The dancehall singer alleges that he did not have enough money in the account, according to “them”. I don’t bank my money because I invest in land, he explained.

Fik Gaza, who came to fame with his Banana hit a few months ago, had been booked to perform at a show on July 6 (Saturday) in the UK. The show featured several other Ugandan musicians, who were all denied visas but one.

Among those denied visas are Lil Pazo, Ffeffe Bussi, and Karole Kasita. “A musician is lying to people that I was denied a visa because one of the boys in my entourage slapped him at the embassy. That is not true. The other artists booked to perform at the same event were also not given visas,” said Fik Gaza.

Fik Gaza was earlier arrested in UAE for performing without a work permit.
