Irene Ntale flirts with married man, wife in uproar

KAMPALA - A woman dancing with a married man may be considered an innocent act. However, when that woman is Irene Ntale and dances erotically, then all hell breaks loose. 

It happened last Wednesday during her performance at the Comedy Store show at Roza Dymz in Kololo, Kampala.

During her performance, Ntale joined the audience and she picked one of the fans, danced with him, sat on his laps and erotically rolled her eyes while singing. 

That man was Moses Seruga, husband of Shanita Nakafeero. What seemed to be a routine performance antic for the singer has however since raised a storm in the man’s marriage.

Nakafeero is now accusing Ntale of “throwing herself on her husband”. She views this behavior as a sign of disrespect and indiscipline, considering it a husband-snatching tactic, claiming that Irene targets men with money.

In an interview, Nakafero ranted thus;

“I have been seeing Ntale throwing herself at women’s husbands at her shows in different bars. She does this by touching our men inappropriately while singing her love songs, particularly during her performance of ‘Kyolowooza’. I, Shanita, will not wait for trouble to arise. I know these musicians are not easy people; they target our men during their performances.

They later send their personal assistants to get our husbands' numbers and start contacting them for private talks that lead to other things. What they want is money from these wealthy husbands of ours. I do not trust my husband with any woman, especially those so-called artistes who use various means to look attractive.”

“We older women cannot compete with them. Ntale used to be decent in her performances; I attended her concert at Serena in 2015 with my husband. However, when I heard, she was coming to Kololo to perform at the Comedy Store, we both turned up because we love her music, as it resonates with us as lovers. 

But now, I will not allow my husband to attend her concerts and shows again. Men are like children; they can be easily swayed by simple things. After seeing her, my husband immediately changed his emotions, closed his eyes, and even touched her back as she sat on his lap. 

This is disrespectful. She made a big mistake by sitting on my husband while making flirtatious moves. It embarrassed and upset me, I felt so small as a woman when my man gave her attention. 

She is using her influence as a star to take advantage of my husband. Moses was drunk. Irene, please stop playing with other people’s husbands, you don’t know the history of our marriage.

Irene's behavior might seem like a joke, but once the men return home, they continue pursuing her, often paying large sums of money for the chance to be near her, eventually seeking love in return”, Nakafeero said.

Husband responds

Moses Seruga, Nakafeero’s husband, says that his wife should remain calm as he has no plans of pursuing Irene Ntale. He was only excited to see the “very attractive” Ntale in person.

"Irene Ntale is so cute and attractive, and I was thrilled to see her face-to-face for the first time. I had only seen her on my phone, on YouTube, and on my TV set at home, so it was my first time seeing her in person. I just took the opportunity when she approached me for a dance and I held her, just to have some fun,” says Seruga. 

“I was really happy when she came close to me—I’m her Number One fan, and I like her music because it’s love-inspired and touching,” adds.

“My wife should calm down; I had no other intentions of pursuing Irene. The dance happened once, and that’s it. I don’t regret dancing closely with her because I’ve admired her for a long time. Irene is a wonderful woman, so cute, with a beautiful voice, and she has a cheerful and innocent nature", Seruga said.
