KAMPALA - Iryn Namubiru's Timeless concert held at the Serena Hotel on Friday night was a spectacular event that left attendees in awe.
The venue was packed to the brim, showcasing the massive popularity of the talented musician.
Here is a beautiful story capturing the essence of the unforgettable night:
If Uganda has a Madonna version, it must be Namubiru. She will portray innocence when she dims fit, as she did on arrival on stage in a stunning snow-white long dress.
The concert kicked off with an electrifying performance of her hit songs such as “Begombeko”, “Bilowozo”, “Empisa Zo”, “Kawowo”, “Simbalala”, enthralling the audience from the start.

Transitioning to her second session, she arrived as the go-getter and shed off her innocence in a dazzling gold outfit, captivating the crowd with songs like “Byansi”, “Yono”, “Kabiki”, “Samwa Samwa”, and a special performance alongside Chameleone.
For her final session, she was the eclectic girl who comes up with surprises.
She donned a striking round white outfit, delivering a mesmerizing rendition of all her chart-topping tracks that had the audience singing along in unison.
The production by Swangz Avenue was top-notch, and the audience was pleasantly surprised by guest performances from Elijah Kitaka, Azawi and Zafaran who performed alongside Double Black Band. Chameleone's performance of “Mama Mia” and Ragga Dee's “Oyagala Cash” were definite crowd favourites.

The presence of Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, as the chief guest further highlighted the universal admiration for Namubiru's exceptional talent, beautiful voice, and captivating songs. (Courtesy Photo)
Revellers enthusiastically sang along to Iryn's popular hits, creating an electric atmosphere that resonated with the artist's soulful melodies. A standout moment was Iryn's collaboration with Chosen Becky on stage, showcasing their vocal prowess.
It had a star-studded guest list, including notable figures like Hope Mukasa (who “discovered” Iryn), Gilbert Bukenya, Zari Hassan, Juliana Kanyomoz and Halima Namakula.
The concert was a total sell-out, with tickets being snapped up days before the event.

That she had the audience (they all looked like they were beyond 35 years of age) eating from her palm throughout was evidence that she is timeless.
