Miss Uganda Hanna Karema leaving for Miss World competition this Saturday

Karema  expressed optimism that she will bring home the Miss World crown for the first time. She quoted a verse in the Bible that says "To men it’s impossible, but to God everything is possible" and asked Ugandans to rally behind her as she embarks on the journey.

Hannnah Karema, the reigning Miss Uganda, has been flagged off to India for the Miss World competition.

She is going to India this Saturday, February 17, with the event kicking off on February 18. The grand finale will take place on March 9.

During a breakfast meeting organised by Miss Uganda franchise and StarTimes at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel on Friday, February 16, Karema said she is ready to represent Uganda and put up a great competition against the other girls.

She  expressed optimism she will bring home the Miss World crown for the first time.

Karema quoted a verse in the Bible that says "To men it’s impossible, but to God everything is possible" and asked Ugandans to rally behind her as she embarks on the journey.

Brenda Nanyonjo, the executive officer of the Miss Uganda franchise, thanked the partners for the support in the past year.

In a special way, she thanked Uganda Airlines for flying Karema to India, but also for the special discount they put up for all the individuals willing to accompany her to India and called upon any that wishes to join them to contact her.

Kenneth Kazooba, the director content and media partnerships at StarTimes, thanked Karema for behaving well during her reign, where she has been their brand ambassador, saying they haven’t seen any negative story about her.

Voting is ongoing on Miss World Facebook page. One is required like a photo of their favourite contestant, with each like counting as a vote.
