KAMPALA - Thrones Lounge in Kampala recently marked its fifth anniversary with a celebration that will be remembered as one of the best house music events in the city.
The night was a spectacular blend of vibrant energy, electric music performances, and a crowd that couldn’t get enough of the Amapiano and Afro House beats.
South African star Musa Keys headlined the event, and despite arriving late due to a missed flight, his performance was nothing short of sensational.
As soon as he took the stage, the atmosphere was charged with excitement. Musa Keys brought the house down with his signature mixes, seamlessly blending fine Afro House music with the pulsating rhythms of Amapiano.

The venue, transformed into a grand Johnnie Walker-themed setting, was quite captivating.
The ambience was both classy and electrifying, setting the perfect tone for the night ahead.
"Thrones is a place where Johnnie Walker truly feels at home, people have had fun, they have enjoyed the line-up and it’s been amazing," said Christine Kyokunda, Johnnie Walker’s Brand Manager.
Before Musa Keys took the stage, the crowd was treated to exceptional performances by some of Uganda’s finest DJs, including Kamali, Lynda Ddane, Aludah, Saint Trevor, and Jelly.

Each DJ brought their unique style to the decks, keeping the energy levels high and the dance floor packed. Kenya's Kavisa was another highlight, taking the stage alongside DJ Kamali.
Their undeniable chemistry and incredible energy quickly made them crowd favorites.
Musa Keys knew exactly how to work the crowd. He was simply infectious and kept the party alive until the wee hours of the morning.
“Kampala is always a turn-up! I’m so happy I could make it!” he said, to which the crowd roared in response. From that moment on, the party reached its peak, with house music lovers dancing all strokes to every jam.
The blend of Amapiano and Afro House was pure bliss for those who knew how to match the beats and go crazy on the ‘legwork.’
