The fire and rescue Police team of Masindi are investigating circumstances under which fire gutted a makeshift structure in Kigumba town council destroying property worth millions.
Julius Allana Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson revealed that the incident happened on Monday (January 27) morning at around 2am in a structure that was being used for baking.
The incident happened in Kigumba ward, Kigumba town council, Kiryandongo district. However, no deaths or injuries were reported by press time.
Hakiza said that preliminary investigations show that the cause of the fire could have been a frying pan which overheated.
